“Yoga doesn’t want to change you”
I was first Introduced to Yoga whilst studying an advanced diploma of performance here in Canberra. Our movement teacher at the time drew on her vast knowledge of yogic asana and pranayama techniques to allow us as students to find a new sense of freedom and awareness in both our bodies and minds. The resonance this had with me led me to seek out my own personal practice when finishing my studies and thus I landed with PYC in early 2015.
What I believe and hope to impart as a teacher is that what yoga shows us, by observing and becoming present to ourselves, is to begin to let go of any expectations and illusions we may have and to realise our own individual strengths, our immutable ‘Power’ already latent within.
