I attended my first ever yoga class in mid-2014 at PYC Belconnen, seeking breath techniques for relieving tension and anxiety, but found a whole lot more besides. Looking to challenge myself and overcome my fears of public speaking I completed teacher training with Justine and Marcus in 2016. Since then I have not looked back, also completing Yin teacher training with Tara Fitzgibbon at the Byron Yoga Centre in 2016. I love the strength and power of a yang practice but also the slower pace and calm of yin.
My classes allow students the time and space to feel into their bodies, thus enabling greater self-awareness with the intention of promoting self-compassion. I love that teaching yoga gives me the opportunity to connect with people in a supportive community of like-minded yet diverse individuals.
